Атмосферное давление влияет на активность рыбы, поэтому, зная данный показатель, можно увеличить шанс ловли рыбы. Функция точной оценки температуры окружающего воздуха помогает быть подготовленным к сюрпризам природы во время рыболовной ловли.
Барометр является электронным, принцип действия которого основан на преобразован
ии линейных размеров анероидной барокоробки в электрический сигнал и дальнейшей обработки его микропроцессорным устройством, а результаты обработки — скорость обдува нагреваемого термистора и температура воздуха — высвечиваются на жидкокристаллическом дисплее. В данном устройстве предусмотрена функция часов.
Датчик давления работает по пьезорезистивному методу и включает в себя аналогово-цифровой преобразователь, который посредством напряжения преобразовывает данные о давлении и температуре в цифровой сигнал в размере 16 бит. На чип сохранено 11 коэффициентов, и с помощью высокоточной калибровки датчика прочитывается и воспроизводится информация о давлении и температуре. Использует низкий коэффициент энергопотребления, низкое напряжение с автоматическим выключением. Запись данных ведётся на внутренней памяти устройства и автоматически удаляется при поступлении новых данных.
